Definitely no noise under acceleration. And only in four wheel drive. As I said, this truck is very quiet for what it is.
Differential oil only has about 200 miles on it. No slop in the ring and pinion.
U-joints are in good shape and are in line as should be. Slip joint is tight.
I do intend to remove the drive shaft and see how it acts.
The reason I suspect one of the pinion bearings is I have had this same problem in the rear end of a truck years ago. It turned out to be the pinion bearing closest to the yoke. Just looking for other observations.
