Hey Rick,
Everyone is different, but I was basically a cripple (horrible pain 24/7, could not lift up even a gallon of milk, etc...) due to herniated discs in my lower back. I ended up having a discothemy (spelling) on L4-L5, and although I have "normal" back pain now, I would have never believed then what I have been able to do since the surgery.
