My friend Neil, who some of you have met at the VT Rally this year, is a died in the wool Chevy guy. He just bought a 35 Chevy coupe from a guy in Georgia. The guy delivered it up to the Frozen Northern Wastelands of Vermont today. Neil has a steep and winding driveway, that is not very conducive to backing a 24'enclosed trailer up. I offered to have him store the car at my shop until we get a thaw and he can get it up his driveway.
Here is the story of the car. The previous owner went off to war in 1943, and died overseas. His car sat in a barn until 2006 when the guy from Georgia bought it. It is a pretty cool car. Neil plans to just clean it up and drive it with the original patina. A few safety upgrades like modern brakes and then its bone stock.
Too bad it wasnt a Power Wagon, but the dates dont work for that!
