Actually the problem is ground fires on start up, the fuel vaporizes and vents out as the engine warms up. There were very specific procedures to follow.
Now when it comes to your Power Wagon, a charcoal barbecue under the oil pan works wonders, and you will avoid a fire 9 out of 10 times. If it were me, and I was going to be starting my Power Wagon in the winter (mine is parked) a tank heater that circulates the water is the best way to go.
