It's so true...we have 30yr old Miller machines in the Shipyard & I can assure you...we have welders here that can stick weld circles around any beginner trying out his new $10K Tig.
Welding really is an art.
Our best welders here are women....so the answer here is to buy the wife a nice auto dim helmet & send her to night school :)
