My 51 PW which was built in the spring of 51 based on date stamps appears to have the early style second series bed. It has the fuel sender access hole and I bought a 2nd series bed wood set and it was not the same as the wood in my bed. Now I know why. I will have to look at the other differences to see if they are also there.
