Here is how I set up the compressor controls in my power Wagon. The regulator and solenoid are right behind this, under the seat. I have a quick disconnect fitting in the grill, and this one in the cab.
Air is supplied by a York air conditioner compressor, air tanks are under the floor next to the transmission. I can bleed the water from the tanks via an old Power Wagon throttle cable in the cab. Works really well.
