I know Im going to get some crap for what I did,but here goes.My 1990 W350 had throw-out bearing issues(it froze up)and so I replaced just it..clutch seemed great-two weeks ago.It has done good after replacing it,except it seemed to have a little input shaft rattle.I have been driving it to work and around.Sunday I went to pick up a truck and made it about 60 miles from the house.Trans/clutch made a noise so pulled over.Smoke(white)rolled out of the bell.Still seems to have clutch.Trailered it home.Moved it about 50 foot on its own power into the shop.Doesnt act like theres a problem.I started working on it.I pulled the shifter about 30 minutes later and smoke is coming from inside.Smells a little burnt.Trans is full of oil and vent is clear.Truck has around 170,000 miles.Any ideas from someone with experiance on Getrags??
