My 47-56 parts book shows only two numbers of rings. The skinny one, for 5 1/2 rims, and the wide one for 6 1/2 rims. No listing for different years, serial numbers, early/late, rim mfg, horsepower rating, gear ratio, phase of the moon...
Therefor I deduce that it ain't all that easy to get mismatched rings. But check the numbers anyhow.
