When you place something on ebay to sell, like it or not, you are entering into a contract with them. If you do not like the terms, don't list on ebay. Even more important, you are in effect entering into an implied contract with potential buyers. Breaking the implied contract and selling something out from under someone by "listing locally" is a bad business practice.
So start an online auction service where you call the shots. Give us an option and give ebay some competition.
