At that time, Dodge was using letters for the year and weight, T series trucks were 1939, V Series Trucks were 1940 and W series trucks, 1941.
C was 1/2 ton, D was 1 ton,
When the War came, the production series nomenclature was skewed and Dodge kept the W Series throughout the war years. The WDX is a 1941-47 1 ton, X is subjective, most likely given to the the Farm/Wagon series, but I bet that Clint and Paul Cook will soon write down the exact version...= )
