The easiest change would be to swap out the bellhousing/trans with a bellhousing/trans from a C4 to WM300 model PW that has a syncro NP420. Everything will be a bolt up. Forget the auto idea unless you want to mess with reclocating the TC crossmember, redoing propeller shaft lengths, lever lengths and dealing with UJ problems.
