I'm with you there. If we have to bail out somebody, I'd rather bail out a company that really makes something than one that just pushes numbers around on a computer. Looking at it that way, after having already thrown something like $8 trillion at the finance "industry", it seems like $25 billion for GM is a drop in the bucket. That still doesn't make it a good idea, though.
