The better solution is to build a better product at a better price. There is no hard and fast rule that says the excess 3 million vehicles can't come from Toyota, Honda and Nissan....and combining the Detroit 3 would be a disaster.
If I wanted the crap produced at Ford and GM, I would have already bought it.....they don't build the product that I want, nor will they after a "merger".
