My folks moved to Vermont from Maryland in 63. I turned 4 right after they moved here. Other than 2 years in San Francisco I have been here the whole time.
Re pushing snow across the road, that is a pet peeve I have. I push the snow out to the end of the driveway into the drift that the Town plow leaves, then drive through it and push it to the side of my driveway. Thats why I was across the end of the driveway. Mountain Road is about like the road that runs in front of your Moms house. The first 1/2 mile of it got paved during your Rally this year. The new pavement runs just past my driveway!
We keep a 300 gallon gas tank here that ran out about a week ago. The fuel company said they would refill us last week but it didnt happen. I knew I was low but rolled the dice! I like to keep it full in the winter but was waiting for the fuel truck. I could have driven it up to the store but I let my inspection lapse and didnt want to get hassled about that.
Is that enough excuses yet? :)
