My first vehicle (at 13) was a 48 CJ2A Jeep which we flat towed behind my Dad's 67 Barracuda all the time. Tranny and T-Case in neutral of course. Hubs out and when we tied the rope to the steering wheel we left a little slack, so it could turn a little. Same when I towed a TWPW with another TWPW about 30 miles. A little trickier with the weights being the same. I tried to flat tow a 68 W300 Crew Cab with D100 TW, /6. Don't do it... just pushed the TW sideways. The W300 is real hard to steer with an Mu5 winch anyway. OK I had to drive a fully loaded 57 Mack Dump Truck down a busy street with no brakes!!! (long time ago)
The horror... Gar
