All 61 and later Townies will accept a bolt up 61-71 Dodge W front axles. 72 to 92 front axles will also bolt right in but you'll need to re-work steering and shock locations.
After 1992 the transfer case-front differential location changed and is on the wrong side for 61- 92 transfer cases.
