That is a sad excuse. They just didn't want to make a tooling investment. It marked the last of a long line of cab conprimises... like a self fulfilling prophecy - we can't sell enough to justify three cabs, so we will only build two thus ensuring that we will sell fewer...See we were right?? And, when they finally had three, well then you couldn't get a "real" bed...
Actually, I am still holding out for a real crew cab, shortbed POWER WAGON!!
Dreaming, I know. I should just hope that there are 2010 pickups with the Dodge badge at this point...
