Just wanted to say thanks for the quick responses to my post. Seems that the double clutching is also a big topic. Fortunately I have had to drive a couple of big trucks around that required double clutching so I am sufficient except maybe when it comes to downshifting sometimes that causes a problem for me if I am going downhill. I have not had to drive anything as old as the 49 that required double clutching so hopefully it will not be much harder.
