Grandma (my mom, 86) came over and brought us a pecan pie and an apple/peach pie. Her grandchildren ate them all before I could, because I went out on a fire call.
A hiker smelled what we surmise to be a dead dear in the woods, and thought it was a propane leak, and called 911. The department responded to find no deer, no propane, and no hiker. There's a salt marsh a half mile away, and it's low tide, so that may have been it, too.
