Off topic but dodge related

I loaned my 2002 dodge intrepid to a friend to drive for a few days, it turned out to be 5 months so far. Today the tranny went out while he is in Orlando. The question is who and how much should of this do I ask him to pay or is it all mine ? I need to get my carryall off the trailer and go get it tomorrow. Thanks for your input.
