a few months ago needed to service our JD717
commercial zero turn lean mean lawn machine
went to the Deere dealer to buy an air filter
the dealer's record had the vin number on file but there are two different filters (which both look the same - had taken the old one with me) so i had to get the engine number to get the correct air filter. now the engine number is also in the dealers file.
