I am taking a trip to the operating room in about 2 hours to have a disc removed in my neck and two vertebra fused together. Kevin Mienke, if you are reading this, I will let you know in a couple of days how the experience goes.
I over did it on a roofing project a couple of weeks ago. We were removing two layers of a flat asphalt roof and building rafters for a pitched and shingled roof. I now have the disc between C6 and C7 pressing on my spinal column. The result has been extreme loss of strength in my right arm, numbness in hand, arm, and fingers, and intense nerve pain. The surgeon bumped me ahead of all the surgeries he had previously scheduled through January.
I may come home from the hospital yet today, but I will not be driving for a couple of weeks. The Power-Wagons are already put away for winter.
