No you really need a dually for that type of load. We are talking safety. Axle load is higher on dually. Also if you blow a tire on a SRW your in much more trouble. When you start getting close to 15K total combination weight think nothing but dually.
I am not sure why people always want to under spec their vehicle for the load they carry. It is a lot cheaper to pay a few dollars more for the right vehicle than have some lawyer who wants to empty your pockets for the rest of your life because you caused major harm because of an accident caused by an overloaded vehicle.
