When I give them the scale weight here in WA of lets say 5900 lbs. they wil give me the option to go with 8500 GVW, 9500 GVW, or 10,500 GVW, I dont know the cut off points to determine at what weight is required to legally fit those ratings but the difference in tab cost is about 5 dollars higher for each higher rating. I go for the higher rating that way I dont have to worry about being legally overloaded. And I dont mind paying the extra 5 bucks in tax. If they fill in one pot hole with my 5 bucks then its worth it. ;/)
