For that kid of weight you will need a 1 ton dually. They are so much more stable and you will never exceed the tire max weight. The extra towing capacity reflects the difference in suspension, brakes, drive line and etc. Go for the 1 ton dually. I did and it is so much better than even a 1 ton single wheel rear axle.
