Yes, it says alot about how far we've come as a nation now that we have a black man as president. Personally, race had nothing to do with my vote. I think we have a long way to go. We will have succeeded when the press makes make no mention of the color, gender or religion of the candidate. My concern is what the politicians do to my personal freedoms and prosperity and I'm not sure either party has that at heart.
