M-37 generator question

My brother has three m-37 generators that he wants to take to an electical shop to see if they work or can be repaired.

He wants to know how to identify the field, ground and hot terminals.

He has a manual but says the cannot find the info there.

Can anyone tell us how to identify these terminals?
