In our semi rural county here in southern Maryland, we have the 2nd oldest Chevy dealer in the country. One family, the Bell's have run it since the late teens early twenties.
They just announced they were closing their doors and liquidating everything.
Another family owns all the Ford and Dodge dealerships in the region except for one Chrysler dealership. I have heard that this one is owned in part by Chrysler itself. So, not much competition anymore. The closest GM dealer now is over 25 miles away.
