My 1960 PG W300 with the Dana 70 front axle has the 21300/23256, Bearing Cone/Cup on the lower knuckle trunnion. It did have the bronze bushing on the upper Trunnion. The upper bronze bushing can also be replaced with the 23100 cone and 23256 cup, which I have just done.
I have no idea if this works on a Dana 44.
