I did the same thing after the Steelsoldier.com Rally in central PA 2 weeks ago (Rausch Creek Off Road Park/Camping). I also need to plumb the diffs and t/c vents higher for next time.
Changing the fluids is so much easier and cheaper than replacing bearings/gears.
