My dad has an australian made combo plasma/stick/tig. The stick works well, tig works very well on VERY clean/new metal, but the plasma is nearly useless unless you keep the ground very close to the work area and you clean the metal thoroughly removing the pickling oil as well. If there is paint or rust, you might as well get a torch/saw/cut off wheel. Another thing is that one of the adjustment dials for the tig has gone bad and they want him to ship the unit back to do the warranty work but will not send him a new part alone. He found a machine with a bad power supply online and is going to get it for parts.
