I have a 98.5 24V 4x4, bought it new May 98...put a new injector pump at 116K - $1300
fixed 5th gear nut around the same time.
One starter rebuild around 125K.
150K miles on it now, it has been a great truck. It is far easier to turn a 24V up, plug and play. They have more cajones than a 12V, stock.
But, beware the #53 casting found on some blocks, they can leak coolant out the side
due to bad castings.
