There was a post here, I believe, about a year ago about a guy that had an antique radiator stolen out of an old Dodge he had.
He went to the scrap dealer and did not get much "sympathy", but when he reappeared with the local cop, the scrap dealer gave up the name of the guys who sold him a radiator matching the description. The dealer could remember because in part it looked so different from a modern radiator.
Bottom line was they caught the thief due to the cops talking to the scrap dealers, where this stuff all goes.
