Marty I put a Weiand manifold on my poly and it too ran weird after it warmed up. Turned out it had a hole under the carb where the crossover is located. The hole had been patched with epoxy somewhere along the line and came off. We welded a patch over the hole and it solved the problem. I'd pull the intake since it's not that big of a deal to remove. Mine was of course aluminum and was easy to fix. Hope this helps.
