I rebuilt all my springs using a product called "Black ice" made by TRAC Products. www.traccoatings.com
It is an extreme pressure air-dry coating for metal-to-metal contact where galling/fretting /friction occurs. Cheaper version of "Everlube" which we use in aviation for same purpose.
