I have been registered for a while but I don't recall having to pay a fee to register.
Also, for as long as I can recall the minimum bid has been $50 on any lot.
I don't put in a plug for them, but I've not had a problem with them either. Of course I've been very careful on the items I've bid on and perhaps I've been just plain lucky as well.
