in any no-go situation, after looking for things obviously wrong like a wire or hose that came loose, is pour some gas down the carburetor (right through the throttle, not into the bowl) and see if it starts. If it runs for a few seconds and then quits, you know your problem is lack of fuel. If it doesn't even give a pop with 10 seconds or so of cranking, then the problem is spark. If the rainy weather is a clue, then it's most likely wet wires and wet distributor cap. WD-40's supposed to be great for this but I've never had the occasion to try it. Might be easier to just wait for a sunny day, open the hood, and let it all dry out.
