The biggest racket is they charge the seller to RECEIVE the money. Normally 3 - 5 % of TOTAL transaction. Multiply that out on Ebay's total sale figures and you can see why they want it. I sell on Ebay and they are getting pretty arogant in their actions. They got sued for millions for allowing knock offs of designer stuff and people , like all of us, are getting fed up with them. They have to find ways to feed their shareholders more profits and this is just a short term pencil pushers answer. Hopefully someone will start up another site.
Ebay seems to want to become a store more than a garage sale as others have eluded to. I think it will end up biting them in the behind. Kevin
