thanks for the answer...
started working on medium and heavy trucks over 25 years ago, and never did see a full floater that wasn't splash lubed.
However, on this one, when I took it apart, there wasn't a TRACE of grease in the bearings, and they were full of oil from the leaking seals...
let me go out and fix my error, it will be a good change to show the wife how to do it...
