Well, up here in the upper mid west, there were tons of them! The problem is the rust! They run for ever, but fall apart after only a few years. My current 79 is one of 7 that are still on the road regularly around here. Typically, the 79 as an example, would be junked by 1984, since it would be so perforated that it was unsafe to use on the roads.

Good news is you should see all the really crappy looking F150's and Silverados from the 90's, all rusting and falling apart! The Rams are still holding their value, and I haven't seen a junky one yet!

There is a 70 or 71 W200 or W300 for sale CHEAP that I drive by everyday. It's cleanish (all thing s considered!), complete, and has a utility box on it (perhaps an old utility truck?). I don't think it runs, but it does have a lot of good parts, and if I had the space, I'd buy it and restore it! It has the chrome bumper and grill.

Post back if you want more info!
