I agree with the run it into a tree with the clutch depressed school. My FJ45 with Perkins diesel and NP540 used to do it because I used it for 4 weeks a year for commercial fishing. But the problem usually isn't a clutch disk problem. The pilot bearing or bushing is seized up, connecting the flywheel to the input shaft. Putting it in the highest gear puts the most torque through this area so just driving it in 4th gear high range uphill might be the safest way to do it.
