Your truck would have been equipped with Braden
LU-2 winch and the PTO was an Arrow Gear FTD-7
mounted on the transfer case. (10 bolt mtg)
In special applications, the MU-2 was used on the W200
but was driven by the FTD-7 PTO on the transfer case.
In 1969 the NP-205 was used on the dodges and it had a 6 hole PTO
opening thus utilizing a spicer type PTO.
The transmission PTO may not work on your
truck as the early PWs had straight cut (Spur) gears, and the post
1960 NP-420 & 435 had helical (angled) gears.
Mounting the winch is a no-brainer, but how you want to drive it is youer choice,
When a PTO is on the trans, you have only in
two directions and one speed, when the pto is on the t-case, you
have the four speeds of the trans plus reverse for your winching speeds.
(Much more convenient) I hope this helps!
