My 1950 B2PW has a newly rebuilt 218ci. engine from a 1940 1+1/2 ton Dode truck. Had the square-top carb with vacuum line coming from oil-filler tube (sealed top, not breather cap). The governor was ripped out of it and the carb is in rough shape. I just got a brand new old stock E7T2 round-top carb with mechanical, not vacuum advance accelerator pump. Today, at a local junk yard I found the air cleaner mounting flange for it. The mounting flange has what appears to be a vacuum opening coming out of the side. Question is: Do I still need vacuum line from carb (air cleaner flange) to oil filler pipe, not as part of accelerator pump circuit, but as part of ventilation system, and should I look for a breather cap for the oil filler pipe? Finally, does anyone have a number for the gasket(s) I'll need for the mounting flange. As always, thanks for your help!
