I wanted to add to the Scout deal here. I have a 1979 CJ7 that has all the same as a Scout. Most jeeper's take the axles out of a Scout or most IH dana 44's and put in Jeeps. Also the transfer case will interchange amc 20 with the cj7 jeep. So if u need parts look for a CJ7 jeep as far as running gears.
