More weight in rust than in solid steel. Every panel needed a patch welded in. Started with the cab, ended on the bed. Bed came out better, what with the practice- I ought to block-out the cab and do it over.
I figured my time at $10 per hour- If a replacement door cost $150, but I could repair it for less than 15 hours of work, fire up the saw and seamer!
Headliner, not $150, but $60 for materials, plus a few hours.
Total, $8,500 last time I accounted.
