Drew's comment about oil soaked shoes well taken. Knew I had something going on in the rear drivetrain of my '99 Ram 2500. Thought it might be a bad u-joint that caused the jerk when I started up. Not that. Pulled the rear drums this morning. Turned out to be a leaky axle seal that's allowed oil on the brake shoes.
