Radiator Cap Update

Yo Paul:

Went to the parts store & the guy took the measurments of the opening & ordered me the cap. Got it, took it home & tried it. The opening was right, but the depth was 1/4" to short, so I called Stant to see if they could get me goin.

Well, after I gave this lady there the year of the Beast, she was lost & switched me to their trouble shooter. I tell him & they got nuthin in the books. DUH!

I give him the # of what was ordered & know what he tells me? No that wasn't a pressure cap, but a thermostat cap. HUH? WTF! Long story short, I guess he wasn't in to his job today & really didn't want to bother with me, so it's off to a local radiator shop to see if they can help.
