I don't have any good ideas for hauling it, but it's cool that you want to preserve/use/restore an old dipper-stick shovel. I see a lot of them rotting away or getting scrapped, but old earthmoving machinery, other than smaller cats, doesn't seem to have much of a following for collectors. I did see one for sale (link below) that's way closer to you, but the price seems high to me for what it is. I hope yours is in way better shape or was way cheaper. Do you plan to actually do work with it?
