Yesterday in Nebraska I spoke to 2 young guys in 2 red Willeys Jeeps, WWII type, military tires, I am not an expert. One had the old 4 and one had a Buick V6.

They were driving coast to coast!

Neat adventure, wished I had time to find out more details, and sorry, no camera with me, dang.
